Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, Ford Castle is one of the
most attractive residential centres in the country. The castle’s
history is well documented dating back to the 14th century. King James
IV of Scotland stayed at the castle before his fatal battle on Flodden
Field in 1513. The castle stands in five acres of private grounds and
gardens which offer a relaxing environment. The Cheviot Hills provide
a spectacular scenic backdrop.
